KVIC Awareness Camp Empowers Local Beneficiaries Under Gramodyog Vikas Yojana

On November 12, 2024, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) held an impactful awareness camp at Arkaneer Premises as part of the Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (GVY) for the financial year 2024-25. The event aimed to identify and select suitable beneficiaries for the program, drawing the interest of approximately 125 local participants.
KVIC officials, including Mr. Ankesh Paul and Ms. Dimitri Barua, provided valuable insights into the objectives and benefits of the GVY, addressing numerous queries from attendees about the training programs offered. Participants expressed satisfaction with the information received, indicating strong community engagement and interest in the initiative.
In addition to the informative sessions, the camp featured an exhibition by bamboo artisans from Charilam, showcasing their exquisite handmade bamboo ornaments. Attendees had the opportunity to purchase these unique items, supporting local craftsmanship and promoting sustainable practices.
